“We were given such a warm and friendly welcome and were well taken care of. Despite arriving at around three in the afternoon, they served us a delicious lunch to ensure we were ready to join the evening safari at 4 PM. Our ranger, Sean, and our tracker, Rob, who were our guides, were absolutely outstanding at their jobs. Even though there wasn’t an abundance of animals—except for impalas—we still managed, after much driving and searching, to suddenly come across rhinos, hippos, giraffes, elephants, lions, leopards, or even cheetahs up close. After every drive, we returned with incredible experiences and great photos on our phones. Of course, we hoped to see the Big Five before heading home, but the large herd of buffalo had left the area and hadn’t been seen for two weeks. However, there were a few lone buffalo left behind, unable to keep up with the main herd, but finding them proved extremely difficult. After a lot of searching, we had to give up. And then something truly remarkable happened. While we were packing and getting ready for our journey home, a lone buffalo strolled past outside the hotel. Incredible! If we ever get the chance to go on another safari before we get too old, we will definitely return to Londolozi!”
