Botswana, with its magnificent Okavango Delta and diverse Chobe National Park, is undeniably one of Africa’s premier and most iconic safari destinations. Be astounded by its abundance and captivated by the country’s exceptional quality.

A vast portion of Botswana is untouched wilderness, with 17 percent of its land designated as national parks. These natural sanctuaries showcase striking contrasts, from the arid Kalahari Desert in the south to the world’s largest inland delta in the north – the breathtaking Okavango. This landlocked country embodies the essence of authentic Africa, where visitors come to immerse themselves in the dramatic, untamed, and stunning beauty of the wild.

Nestled just north of South Africa and bordered by Namibia and Zimbabwe, Botswana has embraced eco-exclusive tourism with remarkable success. Botswana’s safari experience is a perfect harmony of quantity and unparalleled quality. Simply put, Botswana has it all!

NATIONAL PARK

Chobe National Park

Chobe National Park, located in northeastern Botswana, is the country’s third-largest park, spanning approximately 11,700 km². Renowned for its incredible biodiversity, Chobe became Botswana’s first national park in 1967.

The park is best known for its vast herds of elephants, boasting the largest concentration of elephants in the world, with an estimated 150,000 individuals. Chobe is home to four of the “Big Five” species, as rhinos have unfortunately been lost due to poaching.

The park’s diverse ecosystems – prominently shaped by the Chobe River, which flows through its northeastern region – create a stunningly varied landscape, making Chobe a truly unique destination for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts alike.

Ngoma Safari Lodge

Perched on a scenic ridge overlooking the lifeline of Chobe, the Chobe River, the elegant Ngoma Safari Lodge is just 135 kilometers from the iconic and awe-inspiring Victoria Falls. This exclusive retreat offers luxurious suites, each thoughtfully designed to provide a seamless connection to the surrounding wilderness. All suites feature airy interiors, indulgent indoor and outdoor showers, and spacious private decks, perfect for soaking in the breathtaking views.

Dining at Ngoma Safari Lodge is an experience in itself – with renowned chefs crafting culinary masterpieces that elevate your safari adventure to new heights.

Beyond thrilling game drives, the lodge offers serene cruises along the Chobe River, complete with an exquisite gourmet picnic lunch. Encounter a dazzling array of wildlife, including elephants, hippos, African buffalo, giraffes, lions, leopards, crocodiles, jackals, and the rare puku antelope, among many others.

READ WHAT OTHERS THINK ABOUT NGOMA SAFARI LODGE

“It’s hard to imagine a place with more charm, extremely friendly and serviceminded staff (we have met a lot of nice people throughout the trip but the staff at Ngoma were in a class of their own), the most spectacular views, fantastic food and high quality accommodation. In addition, with an extremely professional guide (however, we only had one of several) and that the price included not only “local” wines but really good South African wines and premium brands of spirits. At the game drives we participated in (three by jeep and one by boat), we saw hundreds of elephants, antelopes, buffaloes and many giraffes, zebras, chobe chickens, hippos, crocodiles, a hyena – and three lions… the closest we got was perhaps 4 m away. Wow. A wonderful memory.”
